We have heard the expression, “Don’t look outside of yourself for happiness, it is all on the inside.” While that is true, it takes a lot of awareness and insight to stay connected to that idea.
There are soul stirring moments occurring all the time but if we are not in an aligned
place in our lives, sadly, they could be missed. Even if we take away the notion of Spirit and use the imagery of a glowing and kind-hearted personality we must have some way to remember and believe in our capacity to love openly and easily.
I have discovered one thing, the easy road isn’t always the best road to get you where you want to be. When I put myself in a new course of learning and growth where the line extends beyond my previous experience it is truly thrilling. I am moved by the positive and joyful feelings that arise and the self appreciation that comes from the stretch. There is a direct correlation in self love and discovering new and interesting ways to live life. It all comes from within.
To become a kinder person my life has to be rooted in compassion and forgiveness. When I think of the things I have done wrong or how I failed at something I don’t wallow in it but instead wash my mind with tender feelings. It has taken me many years to learn how to feel this way about “me”. What I do know is the more I kindly encourage my own growth and self realization, the more tender and loving my heart is toward others.
